Named the “Babka King” by the Los Angeles Times, this marks the first time that Chef Shimi’s babka’s will be available in New York City and for a limited time providing the perfect host / hostess gift. Having rose to fame through his contemporary reinvention of the traditional babka, Chef Shimi’s babkas have developed a cult following in Los Angeles.
At first glance you cannot believe your eyes. It is as if magical elves assembled this beautiful piece of food art. His holiday Babka’s available at Ella Mia in Citizens New York will feature chocolate ganache, roasted hazelnuts, candied orange and rose petals.

Guests can also order Chef Shimi’s babka using the Go by Citizens app: Download the Go by Citizens app and go to EllaMia landing page and make a reservation on the page and select a preferred date to pick up your Babka. Customers are notified and messaged directly and invited to come pick up their Babka.
