On Saturday, September 11th,  -CIDE presented their latest collection at 433 Broadway St, NY on NYFW.

The hottest fashion show of the season came from Brooklyn’s very own streetwear designer Dashawn “Kenzo” Mckenzie. From -Cide’s initial launch in 2017 to now, they have expanded globally and are now sold in 70 countries. The internationally recognized luxury streetwear clothing brand presented its ready-to-wear AW21 collection during NYFW in a packed-out venue.

The brand -CIDE takes its name from the meaning of the suffix -cide, to kill it, and they did just that. The line to enter the -Cide NYFW runway presentation nearly wrapped around the building and, as stated on the invitation; the doors closed at 9 pm leaving a crowd outside of 433 Broadway street with only the hopes of catching a glimpse of the event through the window. For those of us who were fortunate enough to be approved for entry to witness -Cide’s presentation of “The Future of Fashion”, we were served wine and prepared ourselves for the show to come. Amongst the crowd of fashion editors, models, and streetwear lovers were viral hip hop musician Dupree G.O.D who later in the evening was seen sitting front row for the runway show. The presentation opened with a live performance from up-and-coming rapper, Trilla Casanova. Following the live performance was the most epic runway show of NYFW 2021. While Kenzo draws his inspiration from the ’80s and 90’s Hip Hop and style, his designs are still like nothing I’ve ever seen.  His eye for detail is apparent in each and every look that walked down the runway. Take a peek for yourself below and be sure to follow -CIDE on Instagram.
