Centrum Silver and Dave & Buster’s Team Up for the a Brain-Happy Gaming Experience

What’s the first step in better brain health? Simply put, listening to your body.

And sometimes, listening to your body might mean picking up a Power Card and heading to Dave & Buster’s.

That was the surprising message behind Dave & Brain Busters, an inventive new partnership between Centrum Silver, the multivitamin clinically shown to support memory in older adults, and Dave & Buster’s, the arcade and restaurant chain beloved for its screen-powered fun. Together, they’re reimagining what brain health can look like: not just something achieved through supplements and routines, but something experienced through joy, play, and connection.

The partnership made its debut on October 14th with an exclusive preview event at Dave & Buster’s Times Square, where attendees gathered bright and early for a morning of games, conversation, and brain-boosting discovery. Guests were welcomed with complimentary food, drinks, and prizes, all themed around the idea of nurturing memory and cognitive strength, while having a genuinely good time doing it.

The event opened with a panel discussion featuring representatives from Centrum, Dave & Buster’s, certified brain health expert Candy Calderon, and the endlessly witty Amy Sedaris, who brought humor and warmth to a topic that often feels clinical. Together, they explored the role of routine, play, and active engagement in maintaining memory and cognitive health—especially as adults age.

“I do try to take care of my brain,” Sedaris said. “Feed my brain as much as possible.”

That message echoes findings from Centrum and Talker Research’s new study, “Screen Time as Brain Time,” which surveyed over 2,000 U.S. adults aged 50 and older. The results reveal a fascinating generational shift: while 62% of respondents had heard that screen time is harmful, 73% believe engaging with technology is important to staying mentally active, and more than half said it has improved their memory.

Following the panel, guests were invited to test their own reflexes, memory, and focus in a curated lineup of Dave & Brain Busters games, each chosen for its cognitive benefits. Titles like Pop the Lock challenged pattern recognition and reaction speed, Pac-Man put strategy and memory to the test, and Fruit Ninja FX honed hand–eye coordination and processing speed. Every beep, buzz, and flashing screen became part of a science-backed exercise in mental agility, proof that brain health can be as engaging as it is beneficial.

This partnership goes beyond a one-day event. Starting October 15, Dave & Buster’s locations across select U.S. cities are rolling out Silver Hours, a limited-time pilot experience offering adults 50+ 10% off food, non-alcoholic beverages, Power Cards, and activities. These Silver Hours are designed to make brain-healthy play social, accessible, and fun—an invitation to keep the mind active through community and movement, not just medicine.

In a culture where “self-care” often appears as a quiet way to unwind, Dave & Brain Busters redefines it as laughter, competition, and camaraderie. After all, the brain thrives when we’re having fun.

So, what’s the first step in better brain health? Listen to your body—and maybe your inner gamer. Whether it’s a daily multivitamin or a round of Pac-Man, small actions that make you feel alive might just be the smartest moves of all.
