Below are a few celebrity sightings!

On Saturday, April 15 Netflix partnered with Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) and recording artist Big Freedia for the upcoming Shondaland series, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story with a ‘Spring Waltz’ for students featuring an illustrious performance from New Orleans icon and ‘Queen of Bounce’ herself on the school’s campus. As a surprise, an unveiling of Xavier University’s first-ever marching band uniform was presented to much fanfare and pride as a gift from Queen Charlotte. The celebration was a love letter to royal culture at HBCUs. Campus royalty made appearances from Dr. Reynold Verret, XULA’s President, and Patrice Bell, XULA’s Vice President of Administration to the campus queens including Nina Giddens – Miss Xavier University of Louisiana, Aleya Barber – Miss Tuskegee University, Jerika Edwards – Miss Dillard University, and Taverlyn Shepard – Miss Prairie View A&M University. The evening was hosted by iHeartRadio personality and songwriter Sheba Songz and included performances from the all-female Original Pinettes Brass Band, as well as from the XULA’s Gold Star Dance team ‘The Golden Starlettes’. XULA’s Homecoming Court. The night was followed by a high-energy performance from Big Freedia performing her recently released ‘Bridgerton’ themed ‘Hey Queen’ New Orleans Bounce Remix. The evening’s celebration took place on and around a floral circular stage that was rendered from the crown Queen Charlotte wears in the show. The 20-foot tall crown weighs over 2000 lbs and has over 1,600 intricate beads as well as 160 metal-cut flowers. Earlier this week Netflix and Shondaland announced a remix to the Strong Black Lead “Hey Queen” series featuring a special bounce remix done by none other than Big Freedia. The Bridgerton-prequel series launches globally on May 4 only on Netflix.

Bounty paper towels recently launched an even better and more innovative version of the Quicker Picker Upper just in time for Spring cleaning. New Bounty paper towels recently hit store shelves, with a goal of helping people tackle the cleaning tasks they’ve been putting off – put simply, they want to help you get sheet done. To support this launch, Bounty launched a survey to see just how many Americans procrastinate from cleaning, where they hate cleaning, and things they’d rather be doing instead of cleaning. No stranger to also going out of her way to avoid cleaning, Bounty has partnered with self-proclaimed cleaning procrastinator Adrienne Bailon-Houghton – see how she encouraged everyone to get sheet done this Spring on IG.

Bounty’s newest innovative paper towel is a triple threat, driven by superior structure, flexible strength, and optimized fluid efficiencies, allowing you to use less to clean up the toughest messes.

  • Bounty’s new proprietary microstructure is larger than our previous design and built to hold up under pressure. You may not see it, but you can feel the difference. The microstructure has an optimized column design. Some competitors collapse when wet whereas Bounty’s newest paper towel technology expands to hold in the mess.
  • Bounty’s microstructure has dedicated strong and flexible zones making it cloth-like.
  • Bounty is obsessed with continual innovation; the new microstructure creates dedicated absorbance zones which pump and direct liquid more evenly through the sheet, trapping and locking the mess in both sheet directions.

Paris is taking back her narrative from the tabloids that taunted her throughout the 2000s. The fashion icon flipped the script with her recent book tour, instead using the paparazzi and unsuspecting moments to unknowingly share portions from her memoir. Hilton was seen wearing a series of bespoke accessories throughout her book tour that appeared to be solid black, until the camera flash illuminated the custom reflective fabric and revealed special dates and poignant passages from her memoir. Known for making a statement, Paris was captured from NYC to LA wearing custom pieces – including a hat, bag, and leather jacket. See details below.

  • First spotted ahead of her book tour, Hilton discretely arrived in New York City on March 12 in NoHo wearing an all-black ensemble and baseball cap with the date 03.14.23 illuminated.
  • On March 14 while departing “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” Hilton was seen sporting a custom handbag inscribed with, “You get to tell the story of you, and your story has more power than you can imagine.”
  • Back in LA for her sold-out book signing at The Grove on March 22, Hilton wore a custom leather jacket revealing, “How is it that the law allows me to trademark and protect the word sliving but refuses to protect a woman’s right to control images of her own body.”

Walmart is continuing to celebrate the endless potential of the Black community through its Black & Unlimited initiatives. As part of its mission to foster true equity and amplify Black voices, Walmart is proud to be the presenting sponsor of Pharrell Williams’ SOMETHING IN THE WATER  (SITW) festival in Virginia Beach, VA, from Friday, April 28 to Sunday, April 30, 2023. And to mark this occasion, they’re partnering with NTWRK to release a special limited edition Walmart x SOMETHING IN THE WATER capsule collection featuring unique designs from Virginia-based artist Hampton Boyer. Walmart’s Black & Unlimited platform celebrates the unlimited potential of the Black community and reinforces Walmart’s commitment to creating lasting equity.  In addition to the music and cultural experiences, SITW also prioritizes community engagement and social impact. Created by Pharrell Williams and taking place in Virginia Beach, Virginia (his hometown!), the festival features a diverse lineup of musicians and cultural experiences, as well as community engagement initiatives that support local organizations and entrepreneurs. Hampton Boyer is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist from Virginia, who was tapped to design the Walmart x SOMETHING IN THE WATER festival merch, interpreting it through his resounding aesthetic. Boyer has shown his work in solo exhibitions at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and co-founded 670 Gallery in Hampton, Virginia. Hampton Boyer’s artwork is largely influenced by his experiences in Hampton Roads, and Walmart is honored to amplify the voices of African American/Black artists and entrepreneurs as part of their initiative. This collaboration with Walmart aims to bring visibility to Black artists and entrepreneurs and celebrate the unlimited potential of the Black community. The limited edition Walmart x SOMETHING IN THE WATER capsule includes two exclusive pieces: a festival-ready t-shirt and a versatile tote bag. With prices set at $55 for the t-shirt and $30 for the tote, these unique items offer a stylish way to show your support for Black artists and entrepreneurs, while celebrating the unlimited potential of the Black community. Each item will be made available separately via a NTWRK drawing. The limited edition Walmart x SOMETHING IN THE WATER products will be showcased in an exclusive NTWRK episode airing on 4/28 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5  p.m. PT,  while the drawing will close promptly at 8:30 p.m. ET/ 5 :30 p.m. PT after the conclusion of the episode.
