Marvel has given us everything we could have hoped for with their second official trailer for the spectacle Civil War, topping it off with the one character no one has seen yet
Marvel studies has finally dropped their second official length trailer for Captain America: Civil War and if people weren’t exciting already about the film, they should be now. If they still aren’t…well…they probably just don’t like superhero movies. The trailer presents us with new footage from the Avengers battling each other…and some of it just looks brutal. Rhodes gets hit hard (which we’ve seen before), Black Panther is going all out on Bucky, and we have a match up of the superpowers between Vision and Scarlet Witch (in which it looks like she has complete control over him).
We’re also presented with what looks to be a recap of all the disasters we’ve seen throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe…which brings me to what’s a small annoyance. Since I refuse to believe that only a combined 277 people were killed in each attack. I can let that slide though because of what’s next. The biggest reveal of all: Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland. Although, it’s not like we’d even know that from the shot in the trailer. It appears to be a 100% CGI shot but what’s great about it is we know exactly how this characters going to look. The costume appears to be very much inspired by the actual comics, going with the lighter shades of red and blue instead of what we’ve seen previously. We really don’t know what Holland will bring to the character, but either way it’s something I’m excited about.
Captain America: Civil War is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Daniel Bruhl. Captain America: Civil War will be in theaters May 6, 2016 and tickets are on sale.
