When asked why the awards show is always going to be relevant around the world and reflective of growing platforms of diversity and representation, actress Lauren Ash told The Knockturnal, “I think what’s really positive is the way that we’ve gotten to see many different stories celebrated. I think that there has been a lot of Oscar movies in the moment about now…Over the years where we’ve seen people who just truly deserve to get recognized getting recognized. And I think that’s a really cool thing. I think that seeing the different stories that are important to be told get recognized is just amazing; and we will see more of it.”
At the lavish party Greta Gerwig, Allison Janney and Mamie Gummer were spotted inside enjoying some quality time outside on the grand patio of the hotel. Overheard at the gorgeous poolside next to the all-new 2021 Escalade on display at the event, Rachel Brosnahan said she was excited to be in Los Angeles for Oscar weekend for the very first time; while Zoe Saldana talked about how much she loved working with her husband Marco Perego on their new film project.
Guests mingled at the Cadillac party until late while being some of the first on the planet to see the newest vehicle up close and personal. They danced the night away as VIPs were escorted home in Escalades down the infamous Sunset Strip. With its iconic history on the big screen, Cadillac has always had a natural tie to the entertainment industry. Truly there could be nothing better scripted. It was the perfect Hollywood ending on a perfect Hollywood night.
