The jolliest time is upon us, and yes I know it’s not christmas yet. I’m talking about the event that brings everyone huge smiles and beautiful musical gifts: Brunch In The Park Madrid!

Brunch In The Park is back for another year (from the 23rd of September until de 21st of October) and boy did they have a great season opening. Not only did they bring incredible local and international talent (which I will dive into in a little) but also they elaborated a well thought-out space to fully enjoy the company of your family and friends while grooving to the tunes and eating some yummy snacks. What’s better than a combination of your dear ones, good music and food+drinks?

The evening began at 1 PM. You did not have to wait long to get food since the food trucks were located right after security check, without missing the famous spot with BITP’s logo, where friends and family take their pictures. Not only did the food looked yummy but it tasted even better. One could find burgers, the most amazing hot-dogs, some incredibly well made patatas bravas (a Spanish native dish) and some other mouth-watering items with of course, vegan options

Alvaro Cabana, a talented Madrid local opened up the party. The dynamic of the event evolved as the hours passed. Since this is a family friendly environment, one could find mostly parents with their kids and friends enjoying the tunes while having a little picnic during the first hours. The beautiful thing about BITP is that they have a designated area for kids to play. There are fun games and activities they can do with BITP staff so their parents can have a more relaxed and enjoyable time.

At 3PM, after two hours of the inauguration, came Trikk. Oporto, Portugal, has been standing out as an incubator of underground movements and gave birth to this unique DJ and producer, whose music has been launched by various labels including Innervisions. Playing some of his own records and mixing them with alike productions, Trikk developed a chill atmosphere, which went hand in hand with the sun and the fresh weather. After his 2 hour long set came tINI. One thing I really appreciate about BITP is that not only did they make sure to bring us the best local and international talent, but they also made it a rule to have at least 1 female DJ playing every event.

By 5PM more gathered to get their groove on with Berlin native tINI. At this point it was more packed and you could feel the energy build up in the crowd. While many were still visiting the food trucks, sitting down by the picnic chairs to have a chat and a snack with their friends, many were also getting their party on and dancing the afternoon away. BITP offered mixed drinks for about 8 euros, and beer and wine for 4. They also had a stand with tequila slushy that were extremely tasty. There was an option for every taste.

The best part of the night began at 7PM, when the one and only German native Dixon took over the

stage for his 3 hour set. Three hours of pure bless delivered by one of the most acclaimed DJs of our times. The dance floor really crowded up at this point since everyone wanted to join this huge celebration. You can always count on Dixon to give an incredible performance and create an amazing atmosphere. With every track, he carefully crafted a journey for the attendee to embark on, it was nothing but pure joy. The sun did not set until 9 PM, and with the sunset added onto the equation, nothing was left to be desired.

I am very pleased with the talent BITP has scheduled for the whole season, the motives behind BITP are so humanitarian and environment-conscious, and the way it gathers people together in order to share what we love is simply incredible. I recommend Brunch In The Park to everyone who loves electronic music and wants to bond with their loved ones (no matter how old they are), plus meet new fun peeps to dance with.
