Brooklyn Roots Collective, located at 255 Randolph Street at the border of Bushwick and East Williamsburg, is a 20,000-square-foot indoor–outdoor venue designed for sustainable businesses, plant-based cuisine, and community-driven programming. As one of New York City’s largest spaces dedicated to conscious culture and creative events, it blends secondhand and sustainable markets, plant-forward dining, educational workshops, and live entertainment. Its flexible layout allows the venue to shift seamlessly from daytime marketplaces to evening music, nightlife, and large-scale gatherings, making it an increasingly popular setting for corporate functions, private celebrations, and cultural events.

The Collective features curated vendors specializing in vintage, secondhand, and upcycled fashion, zero-waste essentials, and local art. Rotating vegan chefs and bakers serve plant-based dishes through food trucks, pop-up restaurant residencies, and culinary classes in the mezzanine or full kitchen. Since its soft opening this summer, the venue has hosted vintage markets, fashion shows, community wellness sessions, tastings, game-day screenings, weekend markets, and indoor–outdoor celebrations, with upcoming plans to expand further into weddings, concerts, and immersive nightlife experiences. Indoors, the building accommodates 920 guests; the full venue, including outdoor areas, holds up to 1,215.

Brooklyn Roots Collective is designed with sustainability and versatility at its core. A 42-foot main bar, state-of-the-art A/V systems, and a wraparound mezzanine with a second bar and additional seating support events of all scales. Vintage furnishings, reclaimed wood, upcycled materials, pollinator-friendly plants, and adjustable layout zones create a curated yet adaptable atmosphere. The courtyard offers a 35-foot bar built within a converted shipping container, picnic tables, yard games, a projector for screenings, and a renovated bus used for past pop-ups and artist greenrooms. With a 295-person capacity, it can be reserved alone or as part of the full venue.

Brooklyn Roots Collective has donated part of its rear garden to Oko Farms for the past year; the garden’s aquaponic system will transition into a lush, intimate event space in Spring 2026. The rooftop garden above the courtyard bar continues to grow edible plants and herbs used in cooking classes and the venue’s signature garden-to-glass cocktails. For private events and weddings, a partnership with Overthrow Hospitality brings elevated vegan cuisine from the team behind Avant Garden, Ladybird, Soda Club, and Cadence. Three bars—two indoors and one in the courtyard—serve botanical cocktails made with sustainable spirits and fresh herbs grown on-site, alongside a robust non-alcoholic program.

Founder and CEO Jennifer Juliano, a lifelong advocate for eco-conscious living and plant-based nutrition, developed Brooklyn Roots Collective to merge community, sustainability, and design. With a background in environmental economics, real estate, and construction, her vision emphasizes intentional sourcing, ethical business support, and creative connection. “Because food and fashion are two of the most polluting industries,” Juliano notes, “we have daily opportunities to make intentional and impactful choices.”

A standout upcoming event, the Sustainable Holiday Night Market with Zero Waste NYC, will take place on Friday, December 12th from 5 PM to 9 PM. The evening features vintage and secondhand treasures, upcycled goods, handmade items, and local makers, offering a festive, low-waste approach to holiday shopping. It follows the Sip & Spark sustainability talk at KCBC Brewery on December 11th.

Brooklyn Roots Collective is available for private bookings seven days a week and opens to the public for select events. More information can be found at brooklynrootsco.com or @brooklynrootscollective.
