Bleecker Street’s Bone Lake is an unusual horror film that offers a different take on relationships with a twist. Directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan, it explores the dynamic of a couple who are having relationship troubles, played by Maddie Hasson and Marco Pigossi, as they go on a weekend getaway.

Initially, it starts as a romantic comedy, where they want to spice up their relationship, but they realize the Airbnb is double-booked by another couple, played by Alex Roe and Andra Nechita, who have a unique dynamic and push the boundaries of their relationship in every way.

From role-playing to sex toys, female orgasm, and marriage proposals, the film brings up a lot of topics that couples deal with, but in this case, the stakes are a lot higher. In the film, the couple who can stay together through the end stay alive. In a mix of Hunger Games for couples, twisted eroticism, and dark humor, the film is a refreshing take on horror season – just in time for Halloween.

SYNOPSIS: A couple’s romantic vacation at a secluded lakeside estate is upended when they are forced to share the
mansion with a mysterious and attractive couple. In this darkly hilarious and seductive horror story, a dream getaway
spirals into a nightmarish maze of sex, lies, and manipulation, bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a bloody battle for survival.
