Bomane has recently opened on Wilshire Blvd and if you don’t make your reservations soon, good luck getting in because there’s no way they won’t fill up fast.
Captained by partners Sonny Henty and Andrea Jaclyn, Bomane offers patrons a chic, stylish venue and an all-star team without the snobbery that often follows it. The client is king at this salon. Henty said that the vision he and Andrea wanted to bring to life was one of passion through beauty, a place where the “emotional connection between the client and the stylist” is top priority.
Upon entering Bomane, it’s almost shocking how at ease one feels. The carefully constructed design is totally unique and a total deviation from what Henty described as typical “cattle call salon”. The building radiates in natural light and the positive energy is palpable. True it might be because of the light or the group working there, but to make sure they were attracting the right “vibe” to Bomane, Henty and Jaclyn had carefully selected crystals inserted into the drywall throughout the entire salon.
Whether or not one’s a crystal skeptic, they still can’t deny that Bomane has given new, positive life to the Los Angeles beauty scene and several celebrity clients agree. The salon is now home to Kesha, Meghan Trainor, Stacy Keebler, Felicity Huffman, Sharon Stone, Lisa Vanderpump and several others. Catering to their needs is are award-winning stylists: Ryan Stanger, Alysa Pace, and Janna Velasquez. I also had the pleasure of getting to know stylist in training, Doug Mengert who, besides being one of the loveliest people I’ve met in LA, worked wonders with my hair. Although I’m sure you’ll be in excellent hands with any one of the Bomane members, I cannot recommend an appointment with Doug highly enough…as long as you’re not taking my spot.
