A group of lucky parents and children got to witness in person what it sounds like for musical great Beyoncรฉ to cover another musical greatโs classic.
Many can only wonder what itโs like to have Beyoncรฉ for a mother, but itโs another thing to have her join a PTA and perform for the school. When her young daughterโs pre-school was having a fundraiser the sensational singer and mother to Blue Ivy did what she does best, perform. Surprising the school on Saturday the singer stepped out for the 75th gala of the Center for Early Education that is held annually at her daughterโs elementary school. The school is known for being a economically and culturally independent center for children from the grades of pre-school until sixth grade. The singer paidย tribute to Reveta Bowers, who has been the head of the center for many years now.
The performance took place in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and though there is confusion on whether or not the school is really associated with the youngest Carter, the performance definitely happened. Having constructed a stage and her dancers by her side Beyoncรฉ put on a personal and, as always, amazing performance for the crowd. The singer performed a few of her own hit singles, including โCrazy in Loveโ and โHaloโ, but the one song that got people talking the most is the singerโs take on Parton and Whitney Houstonโs โI Will Always Love Youโ. The singer has covered the song before and done combinations before, such as at a tribute concert for Paul Walker, but the crowd went wild for the singerโs robust version of the musical classic.

This surprise performance is the singerโs first public performance since the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and comes before the much awaited Formation tour, many shows of which have already sold out.
