Lana Condor partnered up with KIND Snacks on National “Quitters Day” with a Pop-Up called ‘Better You by Lana.’ Here, they encourage you to ditch those restrictive resolutions and trust your taste buds in this interactive experience!

Forget the guilt trip! Lana Condor and KIND Snacks have partnered up to create a vibrant pop-up in Santa Monica that turns wellness on its head. Get ready to rethink your resolutions and explore a delicious, judgment-free path to feeling your best.

The Pop-Up opens with a room that looks like your typical healthy juice bar — but there’s a twist. As you are presented with juices that look nutritious and clean, you take a closer look at the names of the juices themselves. Showcasing drinks called, ‘Fizzy Wizzy Waistline Wizard,’ ‘Millionaire Overnight Elixir’ and ‘Very Berry Confidence Boosting Juice’ to poke fun at of ‘miracle’ healthy juices.

That same room also showcases other typical ‘healthy lifestyle’ products, such as, yoga pants, dramatically tiny portion sizes, a “green bar” which upon closer look includes things like green pop corn, again a joke on health tips that are often not sustainable.

As you walk further into the room, you’re greeted by an array of healthy-ish delights. Shelves display yoga pants alongside weights, hinting at a spectrum of wellness possibilities.

On shelves, playfully undersized portions are plated, offering a realism to portion control. The “green bar” is filled with unexpected twists – all things green – popcorn, pasta and chips, reminding you that healthy snacks can be fun and flavorful. The atmosphere is lighthearted and inclusive, poking fun at societal fads while embracing the joy of living well.

Stepping into the next room, greeted by the rhythmic thump of a treadmill and the bold signage above it: “Resolution Countdown: 354 days to go.” Clocks tick on the wall, the sound mocks the nature of promises made and broken with resolutions. In the background, an ensemble of voices whispers temptations and taunts, the soundtrack of any self-improvement journey: “Eat this,” “Eat more,” “Why would you?”

Across the room, a January calendar is put against the wall, its squares filled not with dates, but with satirical resolutions, mocking the exaggerations and inevitable demise of our over-exaggerated goals. “Drink 2500 cups of water,” one day says, while box boasts, “10 Million Steps.”

A quote by Condor hangs as you exit, a message of calm amidst the noise: “There’s a kinder way to approach January. Let’s leave behind the resolutions that no longer serve us… Get ready to shut out the noise and trust your taste buds.”

Stepping into the next room, you’re greeted by a burst of color and aroma – the presence of KIND Snacks. Mirrored walls reflect displays of nuts, bars, and fruit clusters, alongside an interactive booth to guess what ingredients are coming through with sensory only. It’s an invitation to dive headfirst into a sensory experience.

Onto the next activity, a playful quiz helps you discover your perfect KIND snack match. Answer a few lighthearted questions about your taste buds and lifestyle and you’ll be rewarded with a tote bag with all kinds of KIND goodies, including the latest flavors.

Nearing the end of the event, Condor herself arrives for a meet-and-greet.

The message is clear: Better You by Lana x KIND Snacks isn’t just about ditching restrictive resolutions, it’s about rediscovering the joy of mindful eating in 2024.

Feel, see, taste, and smell your food to the fullest with this interactive pop-up!
