For those of you who don’t know what gai dan jai [Hong Kong Egglettes] is, you most likely did not grow up in the city of Hong Kong. A spherical, egg based waffle made it to the number one bestselling Hong Kong street food since its emergence in the 1950s.
One thing I will never advocate for is the healthy eating trends that are going viral today. I don’t understand juice cleanses, no-carb diets, or the insane hype for super foods like acai berries and goji berries. That being said, Mexican food is one of my guilty pleasures because they definitely don’t hold back on their cheeses, carbs and deliciousness.
