Leading up to this year’s US Open Tennis Tournament, American Express has announced its partnership with Break the Love Partner to Offer 10,000 Complimentary Court Reservations to All NYC Area Tennis Fans.

To celebrate the new partnership, American Express and Break the Love hosted a private media event on Monday, August 15 at SHOWFIELDS SOHO with a pop-up pickleball court and Card Member Lounge, which featured a signature hummus dish from Chef Mike Solomonov, Executive Chef of the Philadelphia International Airport Centurion Lounge, tennis-inspired nail art by Chillhouse, a US Open-themed GREY GOOSE® Honey Deuce popsicle to cool down for the evening, and more! Break the Love was founded by Trisha Goyal, who created this organization to make the sport of tennis inclusive and accessible. Goyal’s idea came from personal experience as she was trying to get back into the sport while connecting with new people to connect and play with. Soon after, Goyal realized finding an open space was either inconvenient, expensive, or outdated. As she began to understand others were going through the same crisis as she was, she was set to fix this problem.

Initially created as a simple meetup with people she met at local parks & clubs, this group has morphed into an entire platform. This group aims to help people get out and play tennis, connect with others through the sport, and learn the sport in a fun & convenient way through group-based tennis activities. They’ve made it so easy with an app that you can find opponents and places to play at the touch of your fingertips.

This new partnership between this fantastic organization and American Express has granted even more free court spaces for tennis lovers to enjoy their sport together. Now through September 13, 2022, fans can book complimentary playing time at more than 500 tennis and pickleball courts in the NYC area, and Card Members can unlock special access to peak reservation times when using their Card.

“At Break the Love, we are on a mission to reinvent the tennis club by lowering barriers for the next generation of tennis fans & enthusiasts to access the sport. And by partnering with American Express we are thrilled to be able to expand access especially during the excitement of the US Open. Break the Love is excited to be a part of an epic summer of tennis with Amex,” said Trisha Goyal, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Break the Love.

Not only does this partnership give card members a space to enjoy their passion, but it also gives them fun experiences and treats. American Express has extraordinary US Open on-site experiences coming up such as Glow Tennis, a mixed reality interactive game and complimentary manicures with tennis-themed nail art. A unique Card Member Lounge offers sneaker cleaning services and frozen Honey Deuces; they can also take advantage of possible savings when using an eligible enrolled Card on the grounds.

This experience can go from the airport to the stadium for those extra special Platinum Card Members. Members can access a special Centurion Suite on the second level of the Louis Armstrong Stadium. The availability for this suite can be found on Resy. Attendees of this suite will be treated to dishes curated by Cedric Vongerichten, Michael Solomonov, and Ignacio Mattos, the Executive Chefs of the Centurion Lounges in LaGuardia Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, and John F. Kennedy International Airport, along with cocktails created by Centurion Lounge Mixologist, Jim Meehan.

There are many more thrilling on-site perks leading up to the US Open for all fans, especially those American Express Card Members. Now through September 13, fans can check out the Break the Love site for court space reservations as well as these fun immersive fan events located at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
