Stacey Bendet’s brand will collaborate with eyewear licensing company, Eponym, for resort 2016.
Here comes good news for all the Alice + Olivia fans out there – as soon as November 2016 the brand will introduce their first ever eyewear collection. The first capsule collection will feature 36 total designs (18 optical and 18 sun-wear). After that the release of a larger, full size collection will follow in Spring 2017.
The collection is to stay true to aesthetic and soul of Alice + Olivia ready-to-wear and accessory designs, focusing mostly on feminine and whimsical looks, created by Stacey Bendet herself in collaboration with eponym’s in-house design team.
Alice + Olivia chose to partner with eponym for its revolutionary approach to technology-first eyewear licensing. eponym’s unique model starts with an embedded and collaborative design process to create quality eyewear that is distinct to each brand.
“The Eponym team has long admired Stacey Bendet and the Alice + Olivia brand,” said Andrew Lipovsky, Co-Founder andCEO of eponym. “We’re thrilled to partner with them and help develop iconic styles that, combined with our unique distribution model, will set a new standard in the eyewear market.”
Stacey Bendet and her oversized sunglasses have become synonymous with the brand and the introduction of eyewear has been on the company’s goal list for a long time. “Eyewear is a critical component of my personal style. As such, entering the eyewear category has been on my priority list for a long time,” says Bendet,“but finding the right partner to do so took time. The opportunity to join forces with Eponym, a company bringing such innovation to the eyewear category, feels fresh and exciting. Designing this first collection has been an incredibly fun experience, I am thrilled to bring a new category to our girl through this partnership with eponym.”
The eyewear will fall in the contemporary price range, consistent with Alice + Olivia clothing and accessories.
