Tuesday night we were invited to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Brazil Foundation and gala honoree Andrea Dellal at Elyx House.
Hosted by Brazilian models Alessandra Ambrosio and Paula Bezerra de Mello, Saks Fifth Avenue’s Terron Schaefer, Crane.tv’s Constantin Bjerke, and Team Rio, we were there to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of Brazil Foundation – a nonprofit organization that helps social entrepreneurs solve challenges faced by communities in Brazil – and Brazil Foundation’s special gala honoree, model Andrea Dellal.
When we entered Elyx House, we knew we were in for an elegant affair as soon as we stepped through the secret bookcase door into the 5,000 square foot loft space decorated with crystal chandeliers and stacked with flowers.
Of course, the best part about Absolut’s Elyx House was being treated to some of the finest vodka cocktails that we have ever tasted, and Absolut’s expert bartenders were mixing everything from martinis to frozen punch.
Our personal favorite turned out to be a drink called the Driving Miss Daisy, a blend of Elyx vodka, Hibiscus tea, red vermouth, and crushed red ginger and citrus that came in a fancy copper pineapple-shaped cup with its own detachable base to keep your hands from getting cold while you sipped!
The music, courtesy of celebrity DJs Harley Viera-Newton and DJ Ross One kept the party going strong until late, as the VIPs partied into the the wee hours!
To launch a five-year partnership with Water for People (www.waterforpeople.org) – one of the leading water organizations in the world, Absolut Elyx has partnered with a cadre of A-List celebrities to create a short film with purpose.
Directed by SNL alum and Portlandia creator Fred Armisen and produced by Orange is the New Black star Natasha Lyonne, the video features actors: Miles Teller, Chloe Sevigny, Tracee Ellis Ross, Taylor Kitsch, comedian George Wallace and musician Aimee Mann among others to highlight the importance of the campaign in a new, unique way.
