The concept, created by new creative director Alessandro Michele, will showcase his first collection with Gucci and his new direction for the brand. The stores design is about high contrast Michele said in a statement that contrast makes things interesting.
The contrast such as velvet chairs, industrial fixtures, metal plates and carpet aim to be inviting to customers, but streamlined enough to bring the focus to the clothing. The focus on a traditional yet contemporary techniques in design and merchandising should make customers curious. They should feel like they are discovering something new each time they enter the store.
The unexpected combination are also reflected in the Gucci’s ties to travel. The new store design references the style of the brand’s luggage, particularly the trunk. As more Gucci stores are renovated to mach the new style, they will also have unique elements that will reflect that location.
