The Knockturnal got an exclusive look at Adidas’ upcoming Fall/Winter Outdoor footwear and apparel. Adidas’ latest collection marks the debut of outerwear made from ocean plastic, an extension of its partnership with Parley for the Oceans. For those of you unfamiliar- Parley for the Ocean retrieves plastic they find on the shore thereby preventing it from entering the Ocean and negatively impacting natural ecosystems.
Hike, bike, run, and lifestyle! Adidas Outdoor tackles it all in its upcoming collection. The upcoming collection features a variety of colorways and styles. Adidas Fall/Winter 2018 collection showcases slimmer silhouettes as well as multiple sustainability stories. A few highlight pieces from the collection include sustainable water shoes to metallic reflective jackets, to climbing shoes. Another standout piece is the Zero-dye sneaker which takes on the color of the environment and grit around it. The latest boots in the upcoming collection consist of synthetic down, perfect to keep New Yorkers’ feet warm during the winter.
The Fall/Winter Adidas Outdoor apparel consisted of parkas and lightweight puffy jackets, with insulation and heat seals. Dope Dye, was another popular trend in the collection, saving 75% of water during each dye job. Rainwear, wool, Gortex were signature fabrics.
