… and it looks like Ben Affleck is making quite a comeback.
Ben Affleck (Argo, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) once again returns to the big screen in style. The Accountant is the latest movie from Gavin O’Connor. Telling a story of an odd child grown into a man with a mind comparable to Einstein’s, the crime drama goes into dark places. Affleck, in the role of the protagonist, works as an accountant for underground organizations. On screen he will be joined by Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, Mr. Right), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Spider-Man), John Lithgow, Alison Wright (Confirmation) and Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development). Written by Bill Dubuque, the movie is set for a nationwide release on October 14, 2016.
Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a mathematics savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Using a small-town CPA office as a cover, he makes his living as a freelance accountant for dangerous criminal organizations. With a Treasury agent (J.K. Simmons) hot on his heels, Christian takes on a state-of-the-art robotics company as a legitimate client. As Wolff gets closer to the truth about a discrepancy that involves millions of dollars, the body count starts to rise.
