This is an important time for Lord Flacko
A$AP Rocky won’t stop slaying the fashion game. Just days after the announcement of his joint collaboration with a British brand J.W. Anderson, JW xAWGE, the news broke this morning about another milestone in the fashion world.
Pretty Flacko has officially been tapped the face of Dior Homme for the season F/W 2016. Dior Homme creative director Kris Van Assche told WWD “I really like his personal style and taste. He’s a real fashion lover. He feels like fashion really influences his own work, and he has strong opinions on that.” The new campaign from Van Assche also features model Dylan Roques, Kids filmmaker Larry Clark, and French Actor Rod Paradot.
“He’s the muse of the season. The collection kind of grew on him. Through fittings, you are always influenced by the boy you’re working with,” the designer added.
Rocky is known for his love for fashion and has been named the hip hop fashion icon multiple times. When asked about the collaboration he says “I mean, it’s dope when you can mix it. It’s all about taking two worlds like streetwear and high-end and kind of mashing them together. But when it comes to Dior, it’s just prestige and elegance in my opinion. It’s almost like Coco Chanel was for the lady.”
