The Kentucky Derby is always a starry affair and this year was no different.
During the 148th Run for the Roses hundreds of celebrities descended upon the fair grounds of Churchill Downs. Making their way to the red carpet they brought smiles and joy to hundreds of fans waiting to catch a glimpse of biggest performers and artists in the world.
American rapper Jack Harlow’s walk literally had women in their colorful hats screaming and dropping them to the floor. He only sheepishly grinned at the sight while donning an iridescent white suit.
Then the likes of Mario Lopez, Chef Bobby Flay, Star Jones, Larry Birkhead and daughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall Birkhead made appearances as they stopped to talk to reporters.
“It is simply wonderful to be here again,” stated Birkhead as his lovely child smiled ear to ear and patiently waited for him.
Before heading to box seats and Millionaires Row the stop on the red carpet is tradition. The class and sophistication of Kentucky Derby is unique in the sports world and something that every celebrity has come to adore.
It’s always the joy and the beauty of the day that captivates the world to the fastest two minutes in sports. This year especially was a year of magic with the fairy tale winning of Rich Strike.
