Faith Evans has premiered the music video for ‘Legacy’ the latest track from her upcoming project.
The video, directed by Rock Davis and Jay Rodriquez, starts off with a clip of Biggie Smalls speaking about Faith in an interview. As the music starts, we get Biggie’s verse being rapped along to by many different people. Faith eventually starts singing and she displays the emotion in the song on the camera perfectly. “If there were a title track for The King & I, it would be ‘Legacy,”’ says Evans. “This song absolutely sums up the theme of the album.”
The new song is on her highliy anticipated project – a duets album with The Notorious B.I.G. titled THE KING & I. The long-awaited album features 25 tracks with new vocals from Evans mixed in with some of Biggie Smalls rhymes – well known and some new unheard ones. The project also features some of the biggest names in rap including Busta Rhymes, Lil’ Kim, Snoop Dogg and many more. Some of the most acclaimed producers in hip-hop worked on this project including Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, DJ Premier, Stevie J and more.
The album is to be released on May 19, just two days before Biggie’s birthday. Alongside all of the stars who worked on the project, the voice of Voletta Wallace – Biggie’s Mother – will be providing a narration of the album. Take a look at the track list alongside all of the features below:
