But please don’t cry; dry your eyes, never let up. Forgive, but don’t forget, girl, keep your head up. – Tupac Shakur
April 7th, in honor of Tupac Shakur, Bravado and Sweet Chick, in New York City, held the launch party for both the Powamekka Café and clothing line Tupac by VLONE.
The collection was launched in celebration of the life of renowned rapper, Tupac Shakur. Throughout most of the collection, across the clothes is stitched the infamous rapper’s name as the clothing lines moniker.
Many celebs like Nas, Dave East, and Yara Shahidi showed up in support of the launching event.
VLONE clothing was created alongside A$AP Mob and many other successful artists. Its creative director ASAP Bari founded the clothing line back in 2011. Many well-known celebs have been seen wearing the simple yet eye-catching pieces. Everyone from Kanye West to Drake has been spotted wearing the name of the late rapper.
“A lot of people adapt to the lifestyle and manifest that lifestyle into a clothing line,” says one of the creators, A$AP Rocky. “It’s just how we live everyday amongst each other.”
Through his legacy and powerful lyrical messages, the late rapper has inspired many creative journeys. Thus literally stitching his name across our hearts.
