Beware peeps! Two skyrocketing artists, Porter Robinson and Madeon, have come together to create a tour that, with their talent combined, is dropping jaws all over the US.
These two have been part of the EDM world for a while now and have revolutionized the industry by creating unique sounds. Although they are just in their 20s, they have accomplished so much already and have managed to leave a true mark in the genre.
Porter Robinson’s World Tour had fans talking about it relentlessly and captured so much attention that his claim and reputation shot up to the sky. Although his concerts in NY have been rare, I finally had the opportunity to see him as he closed the Main Stage of Electric Zoo on Saturday this past summer. His set was more than incredible and surpassed every expectation I had. It brought many to tears and filled the audience’s hearts with incredible mixes. He was able to create a unique experience, as unique as the Japanophile music he produces.
The French DJ and producer, Madeon, has also been growing in an admirable speed! He has released a kick-ass album “Adventure”, worked with incredible artists and has really made a name for himself. I saw Madeon for the first time when he opened for Zedd’s True Colors tour which took place in Madison Square Garden. His ability to make the audience have a blast with his music and luminous set made me put him on my list as a DJ I’d like to see live again. I was lucky enough to see him a second time at this Billboard’s 100 festival in the summer as he closed one of the stages for Saturday with his live performance. The energy and passion he put into his set was so contagious and admirable, and translated as the peak of joy for the audience.
The fact that these geniuses of music have come together to combine their musical talents on this 75 minute tour makes me know for a fact that what people will experience will forever remain as a wonderful memory. This tour is a collision of booming sounds, an explosion of lights and just plain ecstasy!
The duo just happen to fit like a glove and their song “Shelter” is a perfect demonstration. The mix between the French and Japanese musical inspirations create sounds that makes one’s heart gush with joy. “Shelter” is just a sneak peek of what will be to come on the 75 minute rollercoaster ride of emotions and heartfelt beats.
Because of high demand they have added another NYC show happening on the 17th of November. Hurry before they sell out!
