Granβpa Knows Best is a comedyΒ web-series starring a 4 inch 3D printed likeness of creator, William D. Caballeroβs 87 year old grandfather, Victor Muriel. Originally from Puerto Rico, Muriel is the voice of the character and offers his real advice on various subjects. For season 2 HBO Latino will be taking Granβpa on fun adventures with the βBig Adventures of a Tiny Granβpaβ campaign in order to generate buzz and engagement with top social media influencers.
Here are some topics that the creators decided to touch on in the upcoming season:
- GRANβPA TRIES TO GET OUT OF A “TRAFFIC TICKET”/ TALKS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING
- GRANβPA “FAMILY TREE” – MEET GRAN’PA’S EXTENDED FAMILY
- YOUNG PEOPLE & “RESPECT”

The Granβpa character poses are modeled using the computerized Zbrush program, and are printed using 3D technology. They are then placed in a miniature model home designed and 3D printed by Seth Burney. Graphic design and text animation by Chris Cookson accompany the voice and real advice of Granβpa Victor Muriel. Caballero films the series in macro perspective, alongside dozens of miniature and life size props. B roll, often featuring an unrecognizable Caballero, his family andseries producer, Elaine Del Valle, enhance the visual and comedic effect.
