Game of Thrones fans rise from the dead with the release of a new trailer for the highly anticipated new season.

The HBO hit has fans worldwide constantly sitting on the edge of their seats, but with the way season five ended many have been waiting for any type of news for the new season. At first, sneak peeks in the form of posters were released, that caused fans to speculate that Jon Snow, Kit Harington’s character, may somehow be alive. But finally a teaser trailer has been released that haunts fans and relays one message known well by the entire fandom: no one is safe.

The trailer is 80 seconds long and features the Faceless Men’s Hall of Faces depicting all the characters’ dead heads as each one presents an ominous message. However in the hall were faces of characters that are very much alive, leaving many to wonder what this could mean for the new season. Among all the faces was Snow’s indicating that the character is dead, as the previous season left us, but fans have raised their voices to speak about how this can’t be true. Many are even stating that the biggest plot twist would be if Snow were to remain dead.

By mixing the faces of alive characters like, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark and others, with those of the dead, Ned Stark, Catelyn Stark and Joffrey Baratheon, leaves fans in stunned silence as to what will happen. Another reason for the anticipation, other than an amazing show, is because season six will be marking the point at which the show will overpass author George R.R. Martin’s books, hence speculation but no knowledge on the fates of beloved characters. In fact Martin announced that the new book will most likely come after the season, which only throws fans of the show or the books for a loop.

What is known is that the new season will premiere on HBO on April 24th and until then fans have 20 sneak-peek posters and the new trailer to look at. Until then, be wary for no one is safe.
