Jill Stuart presented her Fall/Winter 2016 collection on Saturday, Feb 13th at Industria Superstudios which had a nightclub feel with a psychedelic live visual art by Joshua Light Show and mystical music by Gong Matrices.
The collection of 36 looks harked back to the 70’s and was built around rich, lush fabrics and deep colors with striped velvets in black, crimson and blackberry, striped chenilles and cotton organdies.
The models, with natural hair by James Pecis for Oribe and metallic blue smoky eyes by Mark Carrasquillo, entered with the Joshua Light Show projecting intoxicating patterns on the wall and moody, pulsating music by Frederic Sanchez.
Notable looks included a long ultramarine coat over a sheer black midriff-bearing blouse, black velvet pants with a brown rhinestone belt and teal booties; a sheer black organdy ruffled front blouse over a tiered skirt of the same fabric and gold metallic boots; and a black satin one-shoulder dress with a thigh-high split adorned with soft ruffles with bright red metallic boots.
The show was attended by a list of Hollywood and fashion It Girls including Jena Malone, Willow Shields, Caroline Polachek, Zoe Kazan, Julia Goldani-Telles, Katherine McNamara, Bridget McGarry, Arden Wohl, Cory Kennedy, Alix Brown and Sophie Curtis.
