The fans were out this weekend in West Hollywood as Ray-Ban Meta and Doja Cat premiered the film, Ma Vie World Tour, at Meta Lab in West Hollywood.
The event featured a Q&A between the singer and the film’s director, as well as an up-close look at custom eyewear and a few of the singer’s outfits from the tour (which were also featured in the documentary).

Guests were also able to explore Ray-Ban Meta’s latest styles, including the Zena and Aviator frames, as well as the new Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses. Asking the question, what kind of films can you make yourself?
It’s all so meta.
The film, about 12-minutes long, was directed by Quinn Whitney Wilson, and filmed on Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Shot from the perspective of Doja Cat and members of her crew on the current tour, it marks a new kind of docu film.

On the one hand, the film captures the kind of docu behind-the-scenes that fans always love, like the artists walking on to set and getting glammed up and ready with makeup and fashion. On the other hand, the project used the Ray-Ban Meta glasses to capture it all from an entirely different vantage point. Filmed with glasses instead of traditional cameras, the footage can capture an alt kind of energy, movement, and personal POV that can bring audiences closer to the experience of life on tour.
An entirely different experience, of course, than what fans get when they go see the concert. By using wearable technology to document the journey, Ma Vie World Tour is serving up a new tech take on music storytelling, blurring the lines between artist, camera, and audience.
