A memorable cruise around New York Bay showcased Galaxy Corporation’s humanoid robots through synchronized performances, while highlighting the company’s vision of a future where humans and AI coexist harmoniously.
Galaxy Corporation, a Korean entertainment technology company focused on robotics and AI, hosted a cruise around New York Bay showcasing its approach to physical AI and human-robot interaction. The vessel was arranged as a multi-level event space, featuring an open bar, food stations, and panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. Upon boarding, guests were greeted by several humanoid robots positioned throughout the main floor and entrance area. The robots waved, clapped, and blew kisses as guests passed by, drawing particular attention from the children attending the event, many of whom were dancing around the robots and reaching out to interact with them.

Guests were able to take pictures with the robots before an employee asked them to head upstairs for the main presentation and performance. Food and drinks were available throughout the boat, including small bites such as cheese balls and roasted corn from the event’s food stations. Upstairs, three humanoid robots had been arranged in formation facing the crowd, with the New York skyline and surrounding water providing an absolutely surreal backdrop. The setup offered a striking contrast between the futuristic technology on display and the distinctly New York setting of the event.
The performance began with the robots moving in unison to a series of K-pop and American pop songs. Their synchronization was particularly notable given the conditions on the boat, which was continuously moving with the water while strong winds swept across the upper deck. The robots maintained their balance and coordination throughout the performance, executing movements that ranged from highly mechanical sequences to surprisingly fluid choreography. As the boat passed directly beneath the Statue of Liberty while the sun began to set, the combination of the synchronized performance, the skyline, and the surrounding water created a distinctly dreamlike scene.

Beyond the entertainment, the event also served as an introduction to Galaxy Corporation’s broader vision for physical AI. The company focuses on developing technology that can better understand human values, empathy, and connection, with an emphasis on coexistence between humans and intelligent machines rather than replacement. The robots performing together on a boat surrounded by guests provided a tangible demonstration of that concept, combining technological capabilities with a distinctly social and entertaining experience. The cruise ultimately offered a glimpse into Galaxy Corporation’s vision of a future in which robots become part of everyday human environments, while also demonstrating how physical AI can be presented through entertainment and shared experiences. I for one am extremely excited to see what they have in store next.
