LA loves an award show — and this weekend, The Hollywood Creative Alliance delivered as it celebrated the best in television and the creative arts at The 2026 Astra TV Awards.
Hosted by Emmy-nominated actress, comedian, producer and writer Lisa Ann Walter, the show recognized standout achievements across broadcast, cable and streaming during a ceremony held at InterContinental in DTLA. It was streamed live on The Astra Awards YouTube channel.
The event was toasting to the best in TV, but it did have some playful callouts to memorable moments from the 2026 Astra Film Awards, held earlier this year. #IYKYK

The night kicked off with hostess with the mostess (and Abbott Elementary star) Lisa Ann Walker welcoming guests with jokes (naturally) and a duet with her son before the award show began handing out the statues.
The ceremony honored several figures with special recognition including William H. Macy (Timeless Award), Cedric the Entertainer (Actor Spotlight Award), Jason Ritter (Generations Award), Shawn Hatosy (Virtuoso Award), Natalie Alyn Lind (TV Breakout Star Award), Troy Kotsur (Impact Award), and more.
The spotlight also shone brightly on The Pitt — indeed, the show seemed to be everywhere with several stars of the show spotted on the red carpet, as well as taking home major awards including Best Drama and Best Actor for Noah Wylie. It was the night’s biggest winner. Beef followed with an also impressive five wins.

“Tonight’s winners represent the extraordinary range of talent and storytelling that continues to make television such a powerful medium,” said Matt Weiss, EVP of the Astra Awards. “From established icons to exciting new voices, we’re proud to celebrate the artists and creative teams whose work has entertained, surprised and connected with audiences over the past year.”
In a sweet, Hollywood familial moment, Jason Ritter — who was honored with the Generations Award recognizing his extensive career in television and the generational acting legacy he carries on after his father, John Ritter, and grandfather, Tex Ritter — was seen chatting with Jennifer Candy — whose father John Candy is the beloved 80s icon whose life was was the subject of the Astra award winner for Documentary TV Movie, called John Candy: I Like Me, which was directed by Colin Hanks, son of Tom Hanks who of course co-starred with Candy in Splash.
