We ate in Martha Stewart’s dining room. Now, you can too.

Okay, the title is perhaps a bit misleading, but also not. Let us explain.

Famed selfie-taker, homemaker, and all-around icon Martha Stewart has successfully replicated her home with “The Bedford by Martha Stewart” inside the Paris hotel and casino in Vegas.

Walking up to “The Bedford by Martha Stewart,” we were greeted by friendly staff standing underneath a fern-adorned patio. The immersion into the Martha Stewart fantasy was immediate as we were led past her famed cookbooks and those iconic brass pots hanging above the kitchen into a replica of her dining room, known as “The Brown Room.” No longer do you feel like you’re in Paris or Vegas, but in the bucolic setting of luxurious upstate NY living. To the left and right of the dining room’s fireplace are giant floor-to-ceiling LED windows showing flowering trees gently waving in the breeze. Keeping an eye out, to our delight, Martha rode past us on one of her prized horses. Fully wowed by the elegant setting and old black and white pictures from Martha’s modeling days, it was time to take a look at the menu.

The Bedford is the perfect balance of French cuisine meets classic homemade comfort food. Prices are typical for Vegas, but you will be well fed. Martha is known to love herself a martini, so we decided it only felt appropriate to try the “Marthatini.” The giant chilled martini glass was the perfect balance of gin, vermouth, and a hint of lemon. Elegant and dangerously smooth. The other standout, the perogies. Leaning into Martha’s roots, we’re told they mirror her grandmother’s recipe. Warm, buttery, and comforting, we decided to pair those with the unbelievable crab cakes and heavenly corn and jalapeño fritters. We had to hold back at risk of already being full; we didn’t know how it could taste any better than this, but somehow it got better.

For mains, we tried the perfectly crispy honey mustard salmon on a bed of perfectly cooked greens, the short rib ragu (the best we’d ever tried), and the lemon risotto with sea scallops. For sides, we ordered the delightful asparagus with hollandaise sauce, and the viral smashed mashed potato. This potato is no ordinary potato; crafting it is a process worth describing. A man wheeled a wooden station over to our table, where on top sat the biggest potato we’d ever seen. He proceeded to massage the potato and then forcefully slapped it onto his workstation. Stuffing it with crème fraîche, chives, bacon lardons, and sour cream, the potato alone could have served as its own meal. Witnessing the expert precision of the man lovingly whipping the potato before us illustrated just how much Martha loves her food. To make it even more decadent, you can even add caviar. It’s a must-try experience, and with all the savory buttery flavors, expect to be stuffed like we were.

That being said, you must save room for dessert. We had no choice but to lean into our French fantasy and order the crème brûlée. It was a total delight. Waddling out of the restaurant, one thing became clear: The Bedford by Martha Stewart will satisfy not just your desire for a delicious meal, but also provide insight into the life of a legend and her serious love letter to food. She’s a legend for a reason, and The Bedford delivered on her legacy perfectly.
