A year after its debut at the Chelsea Film Festival, Growing Pains is finding new life on streaming.

Written and directed by Catherine Argyrople, the film Growing Pains will soon be available on Tubi, giving a wider audience the chance to experience its intimate and emotional storytelling.

When it premiered in October, Growing Pains stood out for its authenticity and emotional depth. The film follows Zoe and Nat, played by Deanna Tarraza and Molly Morneweck, childhood friends navigating the uneasy shift from middle to high school. Throughout the story, Argyrople explores the complexities of growing up while touching on themes of adolescence, identity, and the often-overlooked challenges young women face.

Now, as Growing Pains makes its streaming debut, audiences can rediscover the film’s layered perspective. Beyond its portrayal of teenage life, the story unfolds across several layers, exploring themes such as cultural identity, as seen in Nat’s connection to her Hispanic heritage.

Growing Pains was created with the intention both on and off the screen. Argyrople reinforced her mission to uplift women’s voices in every aspect of filmmaking by collaborating with an all-female production crew.

This is more than just a film for Argyrople. It is a deeply personal endeavor to share her story and amplify the voices of those who are often unheard.
