When an artist can transform the universe inside their head into music, you know it’s going to be special. Wildberry does exactly that in her debut album AGAPE.

Comprised of 11 cohesive tracks, the album takes listeners on an ethereal, out-of-body journey through its magical soundscapes and soft-spoken vocals. When listening, prepare to experience not only a sonic adventure but also a visual one, as AGAPE is as much about the concept as it is about the music.

Describing the album as “a love that feels divine,” Korean artist Wildberry spoke with The Knockturnal in an interview about her deep connection to her music and one-of-a-kind sound.

Producing the album since March of this year to completing the visuals and musicals Wildberry describes this release as a ‘non-stop process’ that we were so thrilled to get into during our exclusive interview with Wildberry below!

The Knockturnal: AGAPE teaser is otherworldly! What era and concept inspired this artistic direction? You are always bringing your sound with such creative visuals. Did you have a vision board, or did the music itself guide you during this album?

Wildberry: I’m constantly inspired by nature and the universe. I often think about how we are just tiny dots, stars in the vastness of space, endlessly expanding. With that in mind, I collaborated with the creative studio ORB HAUS, whose vision aligned closely with mine. They believe that everything begins from a small point—an “orb”—and that art can change the world peacefully.

From this shared vision, we developed the visual concept for AGAPE, which revolves around unconditional love, a love that feels divine. After many discussions, we created the final visuals, including the three interlocking rings representing me, my loved ones, and the world—all intertwined, driving the future forward.

Wildberry’s sound is undeniably distinct. Her goal is for people to instantly recognize, “That’s WILDBERRY!” when they hear her voice, regardless of the genre. She strives to create a signature sound that stands out, making her easily identifiable in any musical landscape.

The Knockturnal: Your sound is captivatingly graceful, yet tracks like “Fantasize” and “Sugar Thrillz” showcase a dynamic range, from house vibes to high-tempo energy. How do you maintain your signature WILDBERRY sound while exploring different genres?

Wildberry: Every track was produced by my partner and producer, Chillin Boi G, and they naturally reflect the emotions that come with our relationship. I believe different emotions deserve to be expressed through different genres, and I love that variety.

I put a lot of effort into the recording and composition process, making sure my unique vocal style and emotive melodies are at the forefront.

My goal is for people to instantly recognize “that’s WILDBERRY!” when they hear my voice, no matter the genre.

The Knockturnal: AGAPE is full of unique tracks that take you through so many different emotions. Is there a specific one you’re most excited about? Perhaps one where the lyrics and melody perfectly capture your artistic vision, or are you simply proud of the album as a whole?

Wildberry: Every song holds a special place in my heart, but if I had to choose one, it would be the final track, “O“. My artistic vision is rooted in the belief that music has healing powers. In O, there’s a line that says, “We’ll be the one, Why the universe is the way it is. You already know it.”

Writing that helped me realize I’m in the process of embracing myself and growing stronger. It was incredibly freeing, and I believe this track can offer comfort to others. It’s a song I wrapped up with such a positive feeling.

The Knockturnal: Is there a song on the album that you envision coming to life as a music video? Describe your ideal visual concept – the setting, your attire, etc. Your music videos creative vision and fashion are always on point!

Wildberry: I had a clear message about “Castaway” and “Witness (out of love).”

Recognizing my pure intentions, an incredible team of creative directors, writers, the ORB HAUS vfx team, and staff all came together with one heart to create a six-minute-long music video.

It’s now available on YouTube, and I hope you watch it from start to finish with full attention. Personally, I’ve always dreamed of living surrounded by nature, and I tried to incorporate that into most of my visuals. For “timescape,” we filmed in Guam’s jungles and beaches, and even underwater—it was an absolute joy to create.

Watch the music video below!

The Knockturnal: Your Instagram post for the album premiere features the quote “Connected through the highest love, we are all orbs of light.” Can you elaborate on the deeper meaning behind these words?

Wildberry: As I mentioned earlier, the album title AGAPE comes from an ancient Greek word meaning unconditional love or divine love. I wanted to highlight that we are all radiant beings, constantly striving to love unconditionally.

That effort and process is the core message I wanted to convey through this album.

One of the biggest takeaways from our conversation with Wildberry was the message that we are all radiant beings, constantly striving to love unconditionally.

Wildberry envisions herself deeply immersed in her music, and she shares her dream of living in a forest in the future. She hopes to incorporate elements like singing bowls, meditation tools and even influences from Greek mythology into her sound. This vision further showcases her desire to create a tranquil, immersive experience through her artistry.

The Knockturnal: With your first album making its debut, what are your long-term goals as an artist? Where do you see WILDBERRY in the next five years?

Wildberry: I’ve worked on a lot of projects before this album, but I’m especially excited for what’s to come next. Moving forward, I want to continue spreading messages of peace and love through my voice. My dream is to incorporate sound healing using instruments like singing bowls and meditation tools.

In five years, I envision myself living in a forest, creating music that resonates with nature.

The Knockturnal: What inspires Wildberry? Whether it’s your music, your personal growth, or something entirely different, we’re curious about the things that fuel your creativity and passion.

Wildberry: Before I start working, I often draw inspiration from old films, poetry collections, or books. I also like reading film scripts to gather words and ideas.

While sharing personal experiences is fun, I find a lot of creative energy in observing new scenarios or relationships through these mediums—it makes me more emotionally connected.

The Knockturnal:  Before we close the interview what message or feeling do you hope new listeners take away from WILDBERRYs music and artistic concept? Thank you so much!

Wildberry: Just like when we find beauty in imperfections in art, I think love works the same way. I hope listeners embrace all the emotions they feel through this journey because, in the end, it’s a beautiful healing process that helps us understand ourselves better.

For us – AGAPE.

Our conversation with Wildberry only solidified what we already knew—she has incredible potential, and her debut album is just the beginning and we can’t wait to see her evolution as an artist.

If you haven’t already, make sure to dive deeper into her artistry by watching the “Castaway” music video. The stunning visuals transport you into a dream-like world, giving a glimpse of Wildberry’s creative depth. We’re excited to follow her journey, and we know you’ll be just as captivated.
