On August 1st Dr. Ernst von Schwarz opened the doors of the infamous Rosenheim Mansion (FX’s “AHS” Murder House) to unveil his new book.
During the launch party, our gracious hosts opened their beautiful home to hear about the possibility of immortality. Guests inspected the gorgeous detail as we toured the mansion’s first floor. Despite the heat, the antique wood and religious motifs set the perfect scene to hear about the wonders of immortality.
Dr. Ernst von Schwarz, a renowned cardiologist, gives us an inside view of the future of mortality. In his new book, “The Secrets of Immortality.”, Schwarz combines scientific and theological practices offering a unique scope on immortality. Although Schwarz realizes “there is no single treatment that fixes all our problems,” advances in stem cell research suggest that man can live up to 150 years old. Now, living to 150 is one thing, but the results Schwarz has witnessed with stem cells also improve the quality of life, not just increase longevity. The discussion of immortality in theology is a frequently debated topic, and there are varying theories in different religions. However, Schwarz argues that theology plays a considerable role in his view on immortality as “science will never be able to explain or to study things like emotions, love, faith, why humans exist, or the philosophy of our existence.” In his new book, Schwarz bridges the gap between science and theology and unveils their unexpected complimentary views on immortality.
