On the second floor of the Museum of Arts and Design at Columbus Circle in NYC lies what can only be described as Swiftie’s dream house.

Walking up the first flight of stairs in the MAD museum, visitors can hear the echoes and notes of Taylor Swift herself throughout the room. The exhibit includes Taylor’s original costumes, jewelry, props, projected music videos, and handwritten lyrics along the walls.

Featuring a curated collection of Swift’s timeless tour pieces, it included a few iconic costumes and instruments from Taylor’s “Red” tour in 2013. Comprising of the original “All Too Well” outfit and its tour piano, fans had a chance to see the “Red” electric guitar and the beloved “I Bet You Think About Me” music video ball gown.

The echos of Taylor’s voice filled the room as ‘All Too Well: The Short Film‘ was projected on the exhibit’s walls.
Legendary looks from Taylor’s “1989” album and world tour are featured, such as the beloved “Out Of The Woods” jumpsuit, sequins and all, as well as her cheerleader uniform from the “Shake It Off” music video in 2014.

O.G. Swifties can also glimpse the popstar’s mini dress from portions of her “Reputation Stadium Tour” in 2018. Fans may refer to it as the “tide-pod” dress. Regarding jewelry, staple pieces from Taylor’s music videos and performances are on display, including Versace bracelets and necklaces worn by the superstar during her 2019 VMA performance of “You Need to Calm Down’ and ‘Lover.’ The iconic lute by Pasquale D’Isanto, Napoli from the “willow” music video from Swift’s ninth studio album “evermore” (2020) is featured as well.

Swifties, take a step into the magical world of Taylor Swift’s storytelling career. You will not regret it! The exhibit is open for display to the public through August and closes after September 4, 2023.
