On Wednesday, November 3, The Knockturnal was invited to a very fun and intimate ice skating event to celebrate designer Cynthia Rowley’s new collaboration with Roxy.
Our afternoon began at Fever-Tree Porch in Bryant Park, where we enjoyed an assortment of delicious cookies and hot chocolate. We were able to meet with Roxy executives and try on some of the collection for ourselves. We also got to check out the very cute winter hats that are available from the collection.
I tried on the Rowley x Roxy Puffer Jacket ($400) and instantly fell in love. It was light-weight, comfortable and very warm. Soon it was time to ice skate! This coat was by far the coolest and cutest outwear moment spotted on the rink. There are also matching pants for all of you skiers out there!
The snow jacket boasts durable construction providing wet-weather warmth without being bulky. With a sporty, relaxed fit, this quilted snow jacket has 20K ROXY DryFlight technology for extreme waterproofing with the maximum level of protection for harsh conditions. It also includes an integrated HydroSmart moisturizing collar that cares for your skin.
Another exciting element of this event was that some of the impressive Roxy ambassadors were in attendance. We got to hang out with Caroline Marks (professional surfer), Baily McDonald (World-class snowboarder), Kelia Moniz (reigning ASP Women’s World Longboard Champion) and Lisa Andersen (American four-time world surfing champion), to name a few. These athletes are incredible, inspiring and really exemplify what the Roxy brand is about. Roxy was founded in 1990 and is now a global lifestyle brand. They offer products for every aspect of the active girl’s life. From handbag to Henley, wetsuit to tide watch, the key ingredient of their products is that inimitable Roxy spirit. “Daring, confident, naturally beautiful, fun, alive: Roxy”.
After ice skating, we worked up an appetite! It was time for more cookies and hot chocolate! This time the great Cynthia Rowley herself came to greet us and mingle!
Shout out to Roxy for a memorable afternoon on the rink at Bryant Park! We absolutely love our new Rowley x Roxy puffer jacket and new hat and will be wearing it all winter long.
