After an absolutely slammed new music Friday, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite new electronic releases for you to check out.

NO MANA x TOMMY TRASH – CAN’T SAY NO [MAU5TRAP]

No Mana is bringing back the golden-era of electro house, and to kick off this new saga of unadulterated musical nostalgia is none other than No Mana and Tommy Trash themselves. Joining forces for their new 4-minute “Can’t Say No,” the pair create a mellifluous time machine prepared to transport listeners back in time to the era of Hype Machine reviews and MySpace top 8’s. A sonic display of technical production prowess, the ferocious cut opens with lurid synths as Tommy Trash’s own vocals melt into it’s over-the-top buildup. Frenetic old-school synths and digital distortion best characterize this unparagoned production that seemingly stepped straight out of blog haus’ hay-day and into 2021. No Mana and Tommy Trash’s “Can’t Say No” marks the new era of electro house’s triumphant return.

SIMON DOTY – ‘SOLARIS’ EP [ANJUNADEEP]

Simon Doty is back on Anjunadeep with ‘Solaris’–four distinct tracks that together evoke summer, and the long-awaited return to clubbing. In the lead track, a peak-time groove carries twangling synths in short chord riffs that blossom into signature Doty melody, along with a vocal call and teasingly haunting breakdowns. ‘House For All’ is summery and celebratory, with vocal riffs and strong piano to lift and magnify the beat. ‘Belikewater’ takes us to steamy rainforests, as rippling riffs entwine and entrance. Featured on Anjunadeep 12, ‘A bit more of a peak time progressive vibe’ named after a famous quote from Bruce Lee speaking to versatility and tenacity. The EP closes with ‘Requiem‘: deep bass reverb lends gravitas to hissing hi-hats and swift jazzy piano, while the sustained breakdown has a more ambient feel with breathy vocals and noble strings

NITTI GRITTI – THE LOUD/LOSING COUNT [HUSH MONEY RECORDS]

Miami DJ, producer, and vocalist Nitti Gritti has joined forces with Tampa bass favorite Blunts & Blondes on new double-single ‘The Loud / Losing Count’ – marking the first time they’ve officially worked together since their surprise b2b performance at Okeechobee Music Festival 2018. On the A-side, ‘The Loud’ sees both Florida artists come together on a track that juxtaposes blissed-out vocals and relaxed instrumentation with a flurry of mammoth dubstep drops. On the flip, ‘Losing Count’ applies a similar method. A Nitti Gritti solo effort, the track opens with sunkissed, vocal-laced percussion that quickly shifts tempo to make way for more behemoth drops.

ANORAAK – ‘KARMA’ EP [ENDLESS SUMMER]

In the world of retro-synth aficionados, the moniker Anoraak has become synonymous with quality. His unique blend of synthwave that combines disco and new wave pushed him to the forefront of a crop of notable staples in the scene, including College, Miami Horror, and Chromatics. In 2020, during lockdown, Rivière found himself with an abundance of time and an insatiable urge to experiment with new soundscapes, namely his most beloved genre of all: disco. As a lifelong creative, he decided to follow his instinct and pour his soul into creating something ridden with groove, flavor, and character. The result was his Gang EP, a 4-track introduction to his new sonic persona. The EP also marked the beginning of a new creative partnership between him and French-Moroccan singer/songwriter Sarah Maison, who took him to uncharted territory with her use of French lyricism. The collaboration proved effortless, leading to the duo’s follow-up EP, Karma. The 5 tracks combine pop, disco, house, and indie elements as an homage to one of dance music’s most darling genres.

LUKE THE KNIFE – ‘DISCO NAP’ LP

After establishing a noteworthy career in the band Lotus, Luke The Knife is finally ready to unveil his debut album under his solo project. With over a decade of honing his artistic abilities, Luke The Knife’s debut LP, Disco Nap, effortlessly showcases his undeniable musical prowess and groovy sensibilities. The nine-track offering takes the listener on an eclectic journey filled with funky beats and experimental melodies that form a sonically cohesive package. Adding an exciting body of work to his own repertoire, Luke The Knife’s debut album sets an exciting precedent of what’s to come with his solo alias. With years of experience already under his belt, his innate dexterity as a producer and musician is clearly defined in Disco Nap as he brings his independent project to life.

SAYMYNAME x EDISON COLE – CHAOS [ULTRA MUSIC]

Trailblazing HardTrap musician SAYMYNAME has teamed up with up-and-coming music producer Edison Cole in their latest, “Chaos”. The intense and heart-pounding track features SAYMYNAME weaving in his signature hardcore sound with melodic undertones that underscore much of Edison Cole’s bass-heavy music. We’re expecting much more from the Los Angeles-area native, as he gains momentum with new music and performances coming throughout 2021. “Chaos” is just the first of many highly anticipated releases due out this summer as SAYMYNAME gears up for his Mayhem Tour in Fall 2021.

MAZARA – HEARTBEAT [ENSIS RECORDS]

Representing the hybrid between bass house and future house, Mazara stuck his foot in the dance music scene with his single, “Level Up”, which found a home on Ensis Records. Mazara returns to Ensis with “Heartbeat”, an explosive new bass house single packed with solid basslines and powerful leads.

VARIOUS – ‘ROAD 96’ OST [G4F RECORDS]

G4F Records returns to the release radar with the original soundtrack for the upcoming adventure video game Road 96, due for release this summer via France-based studio Digixart. The forthcoming video game divulges into a unique road trip survival storyline all whilst meeting new people, discovering new places, and experiencing new challenges. The soundtrack features some of the biggest names in synthwave and electro, such as Cocoon, Robert Parker, and The Toxic Avenger, to name a few.

APASHE – TIME WARP FT. SAMI CHAOUKI [KANNIBALEAN RECORDS]

Canadian bass superstar Apashe has returned to the release radar with ‘Time Warp,’ marking his first highly-anticipated musical endeavor of the year. This time around, he’s enlisted the vocal ability of fellow Canadian and vocalist Sami Chaouki. The track immediately begins with a daunting ambiance, characterized by highly-manipulated synths and an overall palpable sense of sonic urgency. A low-pitched vocal is introduced into the space, and pairs perfectly alongside the anthemic production elements. Euphoric throughout its entirety, the high-octane tune is replete with hefty bass, a melodious vocal cut, and a propelling rhythm that maintains its infectious, energetic tone from start to finish with ease. A hard-hitting gem of a release, the latest from Apashe is a standout masterpiece that sets an exciting precedent for the rest of the year and beyond to follow.

RIOT TEN – CONTROL FT. ADD1CTION [DIM MAK]

Riot Ten never ceased his efforts to continue evolving and becoming one of the most respected DJs/Producers in the industry. Known for his energetic and dynamic dance music style,  the El Paso native highlights the vibrant combination of hard bass arrangements with the power of rock and roll in his new single, “Control”. “Control” brings up the frenzies of his album, ready to reach the top charts, lusty with density, that turned into an enticing and lively record. The track release comes right before the long-awaited sophomore album from Riot Ten promising to amuse fans and is destined to make headlines for its testament of will.
