The idea of taking on multiple roles within one project is as exciting as it is challenging, but you wouldn’t see the difficulty in the way that the cast of The Toll takes it on.
Jordan Hayes and Max Topplin both star in the film, as well as producing it, and Director Michael Nader is also the writer. The film is incredibly thrilling and exciting, as it stars out with Hayes’ character getting into a rideshare car on her way to her father’s house from the airport. Once seated she makes small talk with her kind-hearted but socially awkward driver, but what the two don’t know, is that they are in for a very long night as they get lost on a dark road that carries many secrets, ones that they’d rather not know.
With the combination of complete darkness, a mysterious lady, and a supernatural figure called The Tollman, the film keeps you on the edge of your seat. Taking place using one set and a minimalistic approach that comes across as anything but, director Michael Nader creates an immersive and terrifying experience that any horror fan will love.
