Start your week off right with fresh, new electronic tunes courtesy of Opiuo, Lucii, Mako, and more.

CLOZEE – HEYA (OPIUO REMIX) [ODYZEY MUSIC]

On the heels of her critically acclaimed second studio album Neon Jungle, French producer CloZee recently announced the forthcoming arrival of her remix album, which will feature remixes from 10 dynamic artists. Among the high-profile roster is fellow world bass don and frequent collaborator Opiuo, who adds heavy midtempo bass to “Heya,” a wonky triumph saturated with nothing but the best CloZee’s bass-heavy counterpart. The full album will be available to stream next Friday, October 30th.

LUCII – WICKED EP [WAKAAN]

Just in time for Halloween and after blowing us away with her recent single ‘Till The Day I Die”, psychedelic bass star Lucii unleashed her sophomore EP, Wicked. The EP kicks off with ‘Spell’, a lively tune that immediately begins with a softly resonant vocal and deep, brooding tone. It quickly picks up its pace and introduces several hard-hitting, glitchy bass drops that round out the rest of the nearly three-and-a-half-minute sonic offering. ‘Till The Day I Die’ follows, and features Lucii utilizing the piano, her flowing hazy vocals, and otherworldly instrumentation to create an atmospherically heady dance music gem. The EP’s penultimate headbanging-inducing track, ‘Wonky’, is a bass-laden club-ready weapon that serves as quintessential Lucii at her absolute best.

AIR APPARENT – DANCE [PUG LIFE RECORDS]

With each subsequent release, AIR APPARENT continues to showcase his versatility and dexterity as a producer. Pulling inspiration from a number of genres, the up-and-coming producer has a knack for blending musical elements to deliver unparalleled tracks. Straddling the lines between pop and dance music, AIR APPARENT’s latest single ‘Dance’ features a lush and bubbly soundscape. Designed with the dancefloor in mind, ‘Dance’ lures the listener to find release and nostalgia throughout the three-and-a-half minutes of the track.

CRISTINA SOTO – PAINTED WHITE (ACOUSTIC MIX)

The Austin based singer/songwriter has spent this year revisiting some of her most iconic past collaborations – including her breakout hit with Tritonal “Still With Me”- and decided to strip back “Painted White” to give it a new life. Originally paired with a sparkling melodic dubstep production courtesy of Illenium and Said The Sky, Soto went solo in the recently released acoustic mix of the track. Assuming a new persona, “Painted White (Acoustic Mix)” uplifts Soto’s empowering message about self-reflection and empathy.

MARK ROMA – THE REALM [DOORN RECORDS]

Mark Roma has lived and breathed dance music his entire life, now carving his mark on the scene with a dark take on on electro house, daring to push the stye back into the limelight. His debut on Sander Van Doorn‘s DOORN, ‘The Realm’ is an eerie, moody hard-hitter that carries Roma’s signature high impact, bass orientated drops. Featuring trance-like techno stabs, this fresh UK DJ/producer showcases his intrinsic ability to abandon genres to carve his own lane.

MAKO – AGAIN [ULTRA MUSIC]

Moving in a new creative direction and abandoning genre restrictions since the release of the debut album Hourglass, Mako has showcased his undeniable musical talent with each new release in his discography. As a proficient and multifaceted musician, his dedication to his craft is evident as he expands the project into new territories. His recent singles ‘Parable’, ‘Chameleon’, ’Murder’, ‘Breathe’, and ‘Coyote’, have all given glimpses of what is to come in the forthcoming album, ‘Fable’. ‘Again’ is indeed a conundrum, melding future-base sensibilities with acoustic and orchestral elements to form a dark, intriguing, and at the same time charming, electro – alternative anthem.
