When we have conversations about artists who are currently shaping the future of music- it’s impossible not to mention Saint Jhn.
Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, his creativity has allowed him to genre blend and create worlds of his own. The young talent has been featured in collaborations alongside artists such as Beyonce and Future.
We caught up with him ahead of this Sunday’s BET Awards to discuss his nomination for BET’s HER Award -which is geared for songs that uplift and empower women, how his viral hits like “Roses” and “Brownskin Girls” came about, and the impact of the black lives matter movement.
To see more of Saint Jhn, you can catch the 2020 BET Awards LIVE this Sunday, June 28th at 8:00 pm ET/PT on BET Network as well as simulcast across ViacomCBS networks including BET HER, and will make its national broadcast premiere on CBS.
The “BET Awards” 2020 aims to provide entertainment relief and support for the black community as we continue to fight the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to celebrate the resilience and strength of the community during this unprecedented time.
