Last Friday SocietyX hosted an Uber exclusive event featuring a live performance by A$AP Ferg.
Sponsored by Hennessy and SocietyX, last Friday’s event featured a Q&A panel of artists and creatives including A$AP Ferg. DJ and Compound owner, DJ Set Free moderated the panel between Ferg, artist WhisBe, Chef JJ Johnson and BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester. Each spoke about their journey and love for fashion, music, art, cooking and BMX. WhisBe discussed how he used art as an escape and how he was fortunate enough to have his first showing with Banksy. Ferg discussed how music saved his life and how he has upcoming collaborations with Revlon an Hennessy. Ferg said the best piece of advice he can give is to never doubt yourself. He discussed how hip hop culture went from having to explain wearing skinny jeans to seeing Virgil Abloh as head of Louis Vuitton and that fashion and music have come a long way.
The event featured signature Hennessy cocktails, a chicken nugget station, gelato, other complimentary hors d’oeuvres and new artwork from WhisBe’s upcoming collection. The beautiful space also had several Hennessy bars, a dj booth and stage where Ferg performed post panel. Ferg performed his biggest hits from “Plain Jane” to “Shabba” to an intimate group of fans and friends.
