Brooklyn’s Newest Bar Is A Quentin Tarantino Homage

Anything ‘Kill Bill’ related will get our attention

On Wednesday, January 30th, we got an exclusive look into Brooklyn’s newest themed bar called ‘KillBar.’  The bar is styled after all things Quentin Tarantino and has references to some of his most popular films such as ‘Kill Bill’ and ‘Pulp Fiction.’  Artist Amar Stewart created a variety of paintings to further accentuate this theme.  His art contributions range from Jamie Foxx on a horse, paying homage to Tarantino’s Django Unchained all the way to installation of Uma Thurman in the yellow bodysuit when she starred in the classic film ‘Kill Bill.’  Along with the décor, the food and drinks also paid homage to Tarantino.

From Chef Nunn Betta, there was a feature of the Kill-Bill, the Kill Switch Burger, the Hateful Eight chicken wings, and Death Proof Chili.  The signature cocktails included the KillBar Moscow Mule, Tarantino Iced Tea, Bloody Bride Mojito made with muddled blood oranges, a Let’s Have a Threesome flight of three margaritas including Pineapple Cinnamon, Jalapeno, Grapefruit, Peach, Blood Orange or a classic and Brooklyn Tap Water with Hennessy Cognac and Grand Marnier, topped with a splash of Champagne and served on the rocks.

This bar is cozy both in the way that it fits 53 people in it and how it has a warm and friendly feel.  The bartenders were very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The food was very good and some of the items had a bit of a kick to it (especially the Hateful Eight chicken wings).  The bar, having opened last Friday, is located at 82 S 4th Street Brooklyn, NY 11249, so be sure to check it out.
