Tamara Jenkins, “Private Life” is an examination of the unpredictability of modern marriage. Desperate to start a family, Manhattan-based writer Rachel (Kathryn Hahn) finds herself descending deeper and deeper into the insular world of assisted reproduction and domestic adoption with her loving husband Richard (Paul Giamatti). Just as the two feel they are at the end of their middle-aged rope, an unexpected surprise in the form of college dropout Sadie (Kayli Carter) enters their lives and opens their world to new possibilities.
The film is touching and will move men and women of all ages. Be sure to check it out on Netflix today. You will cry. You will laugh. You will gain faith and respect for life again.
