Universal Music Group hosted the hottest Grammys After Party. The bash was presented by American Airlines and Citi with support from Rémy Martin.
Universal Music Group’s Chairman & CEO Sir Lucian Grainge was joined by Michele Anthony (EVP, UMG), Boyd Muir (CFO and EVP, UMG), Jeff Harleston (General Counsel and EVP of Business & Legal, UMG), David Joseph (Chairman & CEO, Universal Music UK and Ireland), Jody Gerson (Chairman & CEO, UMPG), Steve Barnett (Chairman & CEO, CMG), Michelle Jubelirer (COO, CMG), Monte Lipman (CEO, Republic), Avery Lipman (President & COO, Republic), Paul Rosenberg (CEO, Def Jam), David Massey (President, Island), Mike Dungan (Chairman and CEO, UMG Nashville), Danny Bennett (President & CEO, Verve) and Steve Berman (co-chairman, IGA).
Some of the musicians in attendance at Spring Place included BJ the Chicago Kid, Bre-Z, Dua Lipa, Imagine Dragons, Jessie Reyez, Julia Michaels, Lisa Loeb, Marian Hill, Jack & Jack, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Tennille Amor, Luke James, Midland, Jon Batiste, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Mura Masa. Actors Darren Criss, Sarah Silverman, Jessica Williams, Shemar Moore and host Trevor Noah were also on the scene.
Guests went wild when Erykah Badu was unveiled as DJ for the evening. She was excited to be spinning for the legendary Quincy Jones, who she shouted out during her set. Mr. Jones was seated in his own lounge area. They later posed for a photo with 2018 Grammy winner Dave Chappelle. He won Best Comedy Album.
Lorde attended the party with her parents.
Logic was spotted in the back corner with his wife, family and friends. He was in great spirits.
Zedd and Calvin Harris were spotted chatting. Perhaps a new collaboration is in the works!
“Don’t Make Me Wait” singers Sting and Shaggy also attended the party together. Sting is really excited for the world to hear their new collaborative reggae album. He was joined by wife Trudie Styler.
“Despacito” singer and nominee Luis Fonsi was also in attendance.
Guests enjoyed delicious cocktails from Rémy Martin.
The party also featured a lounge and photo booth hosted by American Airlines. Guests were able to have their brain waves read. Singer Calum Scott decided to try the technology for himself!
Citi showcased ART-OBJECT BOOMBOXES in the cocktail area. Inspired by NYC street artist Faust, the collection was customized to commemorate a curated collection of UMG artists nominated for Grammys. The boomboxes will be donated by Citi to Musicians on Call to be auctioned for charity.
