5-Day Pop-Up “Pride Place” Launches for NYC Pride

by Angelina Fay June 15, 2018
by Angelina Fay June 15, 2018 0 comment

Pride Media, along with OUT, The Advocate, PRIDE, Out Traveler, and Chill, will come together to celebrate the intersection of community, culture, and LGBTQ+ pride at the opening of a five-day experiential pop-up in Manhattan.

Powered by Samsung and sponsored by H&M, Walgreens, and Rituals, Pride Place will serve as a space to bring together the queer community socially for drag performances, trivia nights, educational and ally-themed programming, self-help panels, and more.

“Pride Place, at its core, is truly a place where the community can come together to celebrate one of the most meaningful times of the year,” said Joe Landry, Executive Vice President of Publishing for Pride Media, Inc. “Pride Media and our amazing partners have curated programming and experiences that will can’t be found anywhere else. We’re all beyond excited to bring Pride Place to life and look forward to a wonderful Pride season.”

Pride Media is the largest publisher of LGBTQ+ content in the United States and has over 50 years of award-winning editorial work from digital to print, social, and experiential.

Celebrities and other notable names in the community will converge at Pride Place to participate in the week’s exciting events. Gus Kenworthy, Aja, Kim Petras, Gabrielle Richardson, Shaun Ross, Lea DeLaria, Cole Escola, Stephen Guarino, Mark Ronson, and Kim Princess are just some of the faces you can expect at discussions, telling jokes, or providing incredible live performances.

Samsung 837 has graciously agreed to host the week-long event in its cultural destination. Part lab, part digital hub, Samsung 837 opens the floor to discussion, creation, and education.

Check out the incredible discussions, screenings, master classes, and all the Instagrammable locations next week at Pride Place:
