Last night at the Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta, Georgia the Gospel Industry showed up for the 18th Annual Trailblazers of Gospel Music Honors and the red carpet was alive in whites, blacks and reds – and of course color!
This year’s award show was hosted by Yolanda Adams, who looked amazing in a white jumper and Vashawn Mitchell. The invitation only event honored iconic gospel singer/songwriter Marvin Sapp who graced the red carpet in a three piece gray pinstripe suit and red pocket square. Latice Crawford looked amazing in a mustard bandage dress and Zebulon Ellis was sporting a custom look from his soon to launch menswear collection #oxymoronbyzebulonellis.
Inside the venue opened up with Travis Green’s smash hit “Intentional” and Kirk Franklin’s “Wanna Be Happy” which was awarded Song of the Year.
Tank, Isaac Carree and Travis Green paid tribute to Pastor Marvin Sapp with soul stirring performances of “Grace and Mercy,” “Praise Him in Advance” but it was Le’Andria Johnson and Bishop Paul Morton who had everybody worshipping and praising while they lifted up “Never Would Have Made It”. Marvin Sapp closed out the show with his hit “One Thing.”
Show airs Jan 29th at 7pm on TV One.
