Creator, Executive Producer, and Co-Showrunner Malcolm D. Lee, and Dayna Lynn North are ready to finally fill in all the gaps and show us where our fan favorites stand today in their personal lives and relationships, with no shortage of twists, turns and everything in between!
This time around, fans can tune into the series to catch up with the original cast as their relationships further develop amidst the resurgence of past hardships, midlife crises’, and all of the inevitable changes that come with it.
While the 1999 The Best Man film was primarily shot in New York City, Lee and Lynn North’s latest Peacock TV original series will not only take viewers back to the big apple but also to New Jersey and the Dominican Republic.
Just a few weeks ago, the teaser trailer for The Best Man: The Final Chapters officially dropped during the Urbanworld Film Festival, which ironically enough happened to be the same event where the 1999 film originally premiered.
And what better way to ring in the premiere of the teaser for The Best Man: The Final Chapters you might ask? An exclusive, delicious, savory, and upscale brunch at Zou Zou’s of course!
Located in the heart of Midtown West, this stylish, cozy Eastern Mediterranean restaurant is the place to be for hosting events of any kind.
When walking into Zou Zou’s for the first time, you are immediately met with a sense of elegance and artistry. Plush velvet emerald and sienna couches can be found throughout the decadent restaurant, with a beautiful open kitchen and bar painted with elements of gold and bronze. Greenery descends from the ceiling, with an array of tropical plants tucked nicely in every nook.
If the scenery alone doesn’t catch your eye, the skyline views and natural lighting will definitely give off the vibe needed to settle in and make yourself at home.
After grabbing a complimentary mimosa from one of the skilled mixologists found by the bar, I made my way over to the buffet table to find crispy golden-brown fried chicken, cinnamon-dusted French toast, grilled chicken and steak skewers, naan, arugula salad, and plump grilled jumbo shrimp.
In between bites I found myself dancing in my seat to the classic 90’s R&B song, ‘What You Want by The Roots featuring Jaguar – a hit that was first featured in the original The Best man film. In fact, each song that followed paired perfectly with the overall theme of the brunch and paid homage to the film franchise.
Overall the exclusive The Best Man: The Final Chapters brunch at Zou Zou’s served as the perfect venue to experience and honor the upcoming series.
You too can experience the magic behind the Peacock TV limited series, set to premiere all eight episodes on Thursday, December 22!
