Vivienne Tam Returns to Spring Studios with NFT inspired clothing.
On September 14th 2022, Vivienne Tam hasn’t shown since before the pandemic and it took a toll on her eclectic designs and returning to the runway. NFT’s were the star of her pieces by having embroidered Cryptio-punks and Bored Ape Yacht club icons that were on each design. The most significant icon were the embroidered monkeys that were bold, hidden and accent pieces incorporated onto dresses, blazers, pants, shirts and more. The color scheme of her collection were blues, denim and turquoise, pinks, reds and white. Blue denim has become an iconic trend on the runway, due to the amazing rebrand of Diesel, and will be a trend to stay for the next seasons to come. It was great to see Vivienne Tam incorporate denim into her collection but making it her own style. Each piece, although intricate, had a great movability while each model added their personality to the clothing they modeled. Spring/ Summer is supposed to be about flowing and breathable fabrics that can allow for that effortless Ready To Wear experience. Vivienne Tam incorporated a lot of fabrics like silk, cottons, mesh and light weight distressed denim to the runway. I was quite impressed as each piece was unique from the next and like a surprise around every corner
.
As seen on Instagram, each piece were so explosive with color, personality and imagination. Now lets talk a bit more about these NFT’s. According to google. The definition for NFT’s is “A non-fungible token is a record on a blockchain which is associated with a particular digital or physical asset.” The meta verse has an online experience that more and more people are getting into and trying to venture and incorporate into companies. It’s a more immersive experience that brings a connection to clothing, community, characters, and more. There are infinite possibilities to create multiple images at one time and incorporate a deeper dive into that experience in real life and online. Vivienne Tam’s goal for this collection is for NFT players to place orders when they look at her collection. Tam likes to play around with different patterns and images that are fun and unique, not just like any ordinary NFT.
Vivenne Tam definitely made an impact while returning to the runway and each piece I absolutely need added to my closet. Sitting front row I was able to watch the clothes dance along while everyone oo’d and ahh’d to this fantastic collection. I left with an amazing goodie bag that was filled with a Vivienne Tam T-shirt, reusable bag, and many other goodies that I can’t wait to use. I still have to experience this NFT meta verse for myself and I believe there is a look into Vivienne Tams NFT hidden somewhere in the goodie bag. Bravo to Vivienne Tam and her team as this well though out and put together show was one of my ending highlights from fashion week.
