Singer Tinashe premiered her new music video for her single “Player” ft. Chris Brown.
The video made its world debut live in New York City’s Time Square on Nov. 2. Fans were able to to get a first look at her new video on Sony’s billboard in the area. Tinashe started the celebration by taking a lucky group of fans on a “joyride” to the event. The single is off her upcoming sophomore album Joyride.
Tinashe battles several “players” in a futuristic, video game style dance off in the video. The battles span several different dance styles including contemporary, hip hop and tango. The singer even has a very sensual duet with Brown for the final battle.
When dancing Tinashe is clearly in one of her many elements. Though later becoming an actress, model and singer, in her behind the scenes video on VEVO she recounts how she learned many dance styles, take many dance classes beginning when she was four years old.
Tinashe first came on to the scene with her debut album Aquarius. Her single “2 On” off the album became one of the hits of 2014 and went platinum. She went on to perform for Karl Lagerfeld, pay tribute to Janet Jackson at the BET Music Awards and tour around the world. Her single will be featured on the artist’s upcoming album Joyride coming out soon.
