Tribeca Film Festival announced their lineup for the select television shows that will premiere at the event. One of them is the long awaited The Walking Dead: Dead City.
The premiere of Dead City will take place in June 2023. Tickets of the screening of Dead City will go on sale on May 2 on Tribeca’s website. As of this writing, it is unclear where the screening will take place. We reached out to Tribeca’s organizers for comment and they told us that the information will be out along with the exact date of the premiere will be available within the next few weeks

The Walking Dead: Dead City (AMC) – New Series World Premiere. Featuring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, The Walking Dead: Dead City is a new series set in The Walking Dead Universe. The Walking Dead: Dead City follows Maggie and Negan as they travel to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan that was long ago cut off from the rest of the world. Thousands of people have made the crumbling city their own world of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror. The series also stars Gaius Charles and Željko Ivanek, amongst others. Eli Jorné serves as the showrunner of the series. Brian Bockrath, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, Eli Jorné, and Scott M. Gimple executive produced.
Immediately following the screening, a conversation will be held with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, Gaius Charles, and Zeljko Ivanek, in addition to the chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe and executive producer Scott M. Gimple, along with Eli Jorné, showrunner and executive producer of The Walking Dead Universe.
A total of eight series will premiere on TV this year, along with two classics returning for the first time. World premieres also include Max’s Full Circle about an investigation into a botched kidnapping that reveals long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present-day New York City directed by Steven Soderbergh, starring Dennis Quaid, Claire Danes, Timothy Olyphant, Zazie Beetz, and Jharrel Jerome; Prime Video’s The Horror Of Dolores Roach, a Sweeney-Todd inspired tale with Justina Machado; and BET+’s Diarra From Detroit, a dark comedy executive produced by Kenya Barris that centers on a divorcing school teacher, written and starring Diarra Kilpatrick.
